​This page provides information about restrictions on data use, applying for data access, and requesting statistics.

If desired statistics are not available on our Most Requested Statistics page, please contact DHHR's Office of Communications at (304) 558-7899 or DHHRCommunications@wv.gov.

For Requests of Statistics

If desired statistics are not available on our Most Requested Statistics page, please call the main office at (304) 558-9100 and ask for the Epidemiology Division manager or email dhhrvitaldata@wv.gov.

For Researchers

Restricted use data files may be provided to researchers who enter a data use agreement.  Because the data contain confidential information, we have an obligation to prevent accidental or willful disclosure of information that may be used to identify a person.  The data use agreement helps ensure the data are used for research and statistical purposes to protect against the disclosure of confidential information.  Researchers should email dhhrvitaldata@wv.gov for more information.
