During the 2019 Legislative
Session, West Virginia passed House Bill 2405, allowing for the enactment of a
provider tax on healthcare organizations serving both Medicaid and
commercially-insured members. On February 14, 2020, West Virginia
received federal approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
