The
West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) reports
as of 10:00 a.m., October 1, 2020, there have been 567,801 total confirmatory laboratory results received
for COVID-19, with 16,024 total cases and 354 deaths.
DHHR has confirmed the deaths of a 70-year old female from Ohio
County, a 79-year old male from Berkeley County, a 61-year old male from
Kanawha County, and a 48-year old female from Marion County. “Every death reported is a reminder that each of us has a role to play in preventing the spread of COVID-19,”
said Bill J. Crouch, DHHR Cabinet Secretary. “We send our sincere sympathy to
these families.”
