Administration's
organizational function is to plan, coordinate, safeguard, and oversee the daily
financial and administrative operations for the West Virginia Department of Health (DH), West Virginia Department of Health Facilities (DHF), and West Virginia Department of Human Services (DoHS); provide
accountability through accurate reporting of revenues and expenditures; and
provide quality and cost effective support to each Departments' overall Mission.
Administration
provides management, oversight, and leadership for the financial, operations, and security systems of the Departments and assures the coordination of these
functions with the Bureau Programs to provide efficient services.
Within the West Virginia Departments of Health (DH), Health Facilties (DHF), and Human Services (DoHS), Operations is the Office of Purchasing, which is responsible for exercising prudent and fair spending practices in acquiring quality goods and services in a timely fashion for the department. The policies and procedures set forth herein are promulgated as regulations governing the purchasing and contracting for exempt goods and services contracts as administered by DH, DHF, and DoHS, in accordance with the statutory exemptions from the West Virginia Purchasing Division approved by the State Legislature.
