Hiring incentives for specific BSS positions include:
Child Protective Services Worker
: $2,500 with a one-year commitment may be provided to any candidate upon hire Boone, Braxton, Calhoun, Clay, Gilmer, Grant, Greenbrier, Hancock, Harrison, Kanawha, Marion, Mineral, Monongalia, Monroe, Pleasants, Pocahontas, Preston, Randolph, Ritchie, Roane, Taylor, and Webster counties; $5,000 with a one-year commitment may be provided to any candidate upon hire in Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan counties.
Youth Services Worker
: $2,500 with a one-year commitment may be provided to any candidate upon hire in Boone, Braxton, Calhoun, Clay, Gilmer, Grant, Greenbrier, Hancock, Harrison, Kanawha, Marion, Mineral, Monongalia, Monroe, Pleasants, Pocahontas, Preston, Randolph, Ritchie, Roane, Taylor, or Webster counties; $5,000 with a one-year commitment may be provided to any candidate upon hire in Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan counties.

OSA provides services for DH, DHF, and DoHS, and encompasses six offices: Management Information Services, Office of Communications, Office of Constituent Services, Office of Finance, Office of Human Resources Management, and Office of Operations.
Internship Opportunities
The Office of Shared Administration and the Departments of Health, Health Facilities, and Human Services are currently accepting applications for their summer internship program. The program offers competitive pay and a flexible schedule, as well as free housing to qualified students working in the Charleston area. The program is open to college students who have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or greater. The priority deadline for receipt of applications is March 1, 2025, and preference may be given to students who reside or attend school in West Virginia.
