Director's Corner

8/27/2024

The Department of Health Threat Preparedness office is an extension
and support office assisting our community health organizations
through training initiatives and resourcing. We are dedicated to the
betterment of our systems by networking with the Center for Disease
Control (CDC) and Administration for Strategic Preparedness and
Response (ASPR).

As the Director, my priorities are to facilitate state preparedness
allowing the direct support to our local agencies and citizens.
Accomplishing this diligently while safeguarding state and federal
resources is a primary responsibility. We have a great leader at the
state, local, and departmental levels, but our partnerships and
support networks allow us to be proactive and responsive to the
citizens in a time of need in our great state. “West Virginia Proud”

Director Robert J. Kincaid (COL, ret.)
