The View from Here

9/25/2018

It’s hard to believe that we officially marked the end of summer over the weekend! With the much-needed break from warm temperatures it won’t be long until we can open the windows to let the autumn air indoors.

As you’re probably aware, September is National Preparedness Month. Between this and the fact that cooler weather is on the way, it’s a good time to stock up on emergency supplies and ensure your “To Go Kit” is up-to-date. The CTP website has many resources to assist in preparing.

While we’re on the subject, is there a set of jumper cables in your vehicle? Do you have a blanket, water, and food in your vehicle? Whether there’s an emergency on the horizon or not, it’s always a good idea to keep the fuel tank in your vehicle at least half full. Likewise, keeping your cell phone adequately charged can be vitally important.

Finally, flu season is imminent; please consider getting vaccinated!

Until next time, stay well…
