The Bad News: Fri., Dec. 21st is Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year.

The Good News: We’ll have more sun each day thereafter!

Are you ready for winter weather
? It’s not only important to prepare yourself for the cold, but also your home and vehicle. For those who have pets, know that if it’s too cold outside for you, it’s also too cold for them!

Of course, this also means that flu season is upon us. Many have already been vaccinated. Have you had yours? Doing so is the best way to reduce your risk of flu and its potentially serious consequences.

Lastly, we continue to monitor the hepatitis A outbreak in our state. It’s good to realize that it is vaccine-preventable. This is especially important to understand if you’re among or around those who are particularly at-risk.

Wishing you and yours a Happy Holiday Season!
