Most Medicaid and West Virginia Children's Health Insurance Program (WVCHIP) benefits need to be renewed every 12 months. The Department of Human Services (DoHS) will contact you by mail, telephone, and email to let you know when you are due for renewal and to mail you important paperwork that you must complete to stay enrolled. It is very important that we have your correct phone number, email address, and mailing address.
- Your West Virginia Medicaid and WVCHIP healthcare benefit renewals are being scheduled over the next 12 months.
- Once you receive your renewal letters, please complete and return the information to the West Virginia Department Human Services (DoHS) as soon as possible. For additional information, please call 1-877-716-1212.
- If you have been denied Medicaid or WVCHIP coverage, visit healthcare.gov or call 1-844-WV-CARES for additional options.
