ORN WV SOR Workshop #10: Ethics, Boundaries and Confidentiality: Why They Matter For Peers

This workshop is the 10th in a series of 10. This workshop will offer participants an overview about the importance of ethics, boundaries, confidentiality and ethical decision making, and how to identify and respond to ethical dilemmas for peer recovery specialists. OBJECTIVE: >> Discuss the four types of activities that require ethical consideration: Iatrogenic, Fiduciary, Boundary Management, Multi-party Vulnerability >> Describe a Peer-based Model of Ethical Decision-making >> Define ethical decision-making >> Identify healthy ethical boundaries between specialists and clients/consumers/participants >> Discuss Harm Reduction in the context of ethics PRESENTER: Steven Samra **NOTE: Participants who attend the live workshop can receive a certificate of completion. Instructions to submit a request for a certificate will be given at the end of the workshop.
