This workshop will offer participants an overview about the importance of ethics, boundaries, confidentiality and ethical decision making, and how to identify and respond to ethical dilemmas for peer recovery specialists.
OBJECTIVE:
>> Discuss the four types of activities that require ethical consideration: Iatrogenic, Fiduciary, Boundary Management, Multi-party Vulnerability
>> Describe a Peer-based Model of Ethical Decision-making
>> Define ethical decision-making
>> Identify healthy ethical boundaries between specialists and clients/consumers/participants
>> Discuss Harm Reduction in the context of ethics
