National Preparedness Month is observed each September to raise awareness about the importance of preparing for disasters and emergencies. If you have never prepared for the unexpected, there's no time like now!

Know what disasters and hazards could affect your area, how to get emergency alerts, and where you would go if you and your family need to evacuate.  Make sure your family has a plan and practices it often. Download the FEMA App to get preparedness strategies, real-time weather, and emergency alerts.

Last, but not least, we also honor all our first responders who run toward disaster at a moment's notice. Thank you for all you do.
