CTP Plays Role in Statewide Preparedness Workshop for Regional Staff

The state’s Senior Advisory Committee, composed of state leadership from homeland security and public health and medical preparedness, is happy to announce the launch of the State Homeland Security Strategy.  CTP is proud to have played a role in this enterprise.
 
Both state or regional partners that serve a vital role in ensuring the successful implementation of this strategy will work together to learn each others' responsibilty and roles in the larger picture of the coalition approach to disaster response and planning.

Purpose: To introduce participants to their roles and responsibilities within the State Homeland Security Strategy

Learning Objectives:

• Objective 1: Participants will understand their and others’ roles, responsibilities, and common requirements within the State Homeland Security Strategy, such as linkages between different sectors to adequately address capabilities across all mission areas.

• Objective 2: Participants will understand the state preparedness program and response structure, and their roles and responsibilities within them.

• Objective 3: Participants will understand the whole community approach and the importance of coalition building to adequately develop capabilities across all mission areas.

Outcome: Participants will utilize and share the workshop information within their regions, thereby increasing state, regional and local preparedness and capabilities across all mission areas, through coalitions and the whole community approach.
