When disaster strikes, you may not necessarily be with your family. Therefore it’s important to make a plan in advance in order to communicate and congregate.
Ready.gov has created a Family Emergency Plan designed to make things easier and more efficient.
Make a Kit
A GO-BAG is something you pack today in hopes that you never have to use. Having certain items in a single place will help you to mobilize in case you must evacuate quickly. While this list is a good start, it isn't necessarily all-inclusive. You may also wish to keep some items in your vehicle.
