Child Passenger Safety
The West Virginia Child Passenger Safety Program has implemented a Child safety Seat Emergency Identification Sticker initiative. In the event of a medical emergency and the parent or caregiver is unconscious or fatally injured, placement of these stickers ensure rapid identification of small children in car seats or boosters. These stickers are available to everyone at no cost. Please make certain that all EMS personnel are aware of this initiative.
The parent or caregiver is encouraged to fill out the information on the sticker and place it on the right front corner (child's right), under the cushion or center back of the child's safety seat.
If your agency would like to receive these Child Safety Seat Emergency Identification stickers, please contact Amy Boggs via e-mail at Amy.M.Boggs@wv.gov with the contact person, telephone number, quantity of Emergency Identification stickers you would like, along with the delivery address.
