The Bureau for Public Health, under WV Code Chapter 16, serves all citizens of the Mountain State with programs that cover the lifespan from newborns to death certificates and from drinking water to emergency medical services. It is comprised of approximately 130 diverse programs organized into nine offices and three centers. The Bureau for Public Health works with people, families, and partners to help assure and advance safety and health for our state. We embrace the values of community, science and evidence-based decision making, health equity, prevention and wellness, and the protection and improvement of the health of all West Virginians. As a native of West Virginia, I have first-hand knowledge of the public health challenges we face. I am committed to improving the health and well-being of our citizens and dedicated to ensuring a healthy and resilient future for the State of West Virginia.
