STATE PLAN AMENDMENT 22-0011
REGARDING
TARGETED CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Pursuant to 42 U.S.C. §1396a(a)(13)(1997) and 42 C.F.R. §447.205, the Department of Health and Human Resources (“Department”), Bureau for Medical Services (“BMS”) provides notice of the filing of a state plan amendment (SPA), identified as SPA 22-0011, regarding Medicaid rates for Targeted Case Management Services for the Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder beneficiary target group.
During the public health emergency (PHE), rates for Behavioral Health Targeted Case Management were temporarily increased by seventy (70) percent. The temporary increase ends March 31, 2022. SPA 22-0011 proposes to increase the pre-PHE rates for Targeted Case Management Services provided to the Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder beneficiary target group by five (5) percent.
This SPA will be effective April 1, 2022, pending CMS approval. The change would increase costs in Federal Fiscal Year 2022 by $17,338.66 and increase costs in Federal Fiscal Year 2023 by $47,982.63.
The public notice period will be in effect between March 31, 2022 and April 30, 2022.
