State Plan Amendment (SPA) 22-0003 Regarding Drug Free Moms and Babies Public Notice!

STATE PLAN AMENDMENT 22-0003

REGARDING

DRUG FREE MOMS AND BABIES


Pursuant to 42 U.S.C. §1396a(a)(13)(1997) and 42 C.F.R. §447.205, the Department of Health and Human Resources (“Department”), Bureau for Medical Services (“BMS”) provides notice of the filing of a state plan amendment (SPA), identified as SPA 22-0003, regarding the Drug Free Moms and Babies program. 

This SPA adds Targeted Case Management services for pregnant and postpartum women with a substance use disorder.

This SPA will be effective June 9, 2022, pending CMS approval. The change would increase costs in Fiscal Year 2022 by $294,741 and in Fiscal Year 2023 by $553,441. 

The SPA and this notice will be available for public inspection between June 8, 2022 and July 9, 2022.
