The Denture Project offers free partials or full dentures through a partnership with dentists across the state who agree to donate their services to patients who meet the following eligibility criteria:
Eligibility:
AGE & INCOME:
Individuals 50 years of age or older who receive Social Security (SS), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or if their income is equal to or less than 150% of the Federal Poverty Level.
OTHER PAYOR SOURCES:
Individuals must not have dental insurance, including Medicaid and Medicare plans, or coverage that would pay for the services covered under The Denture Project.
INCOME VERIFICATION:
Individuals applying for The Denture Project must submit verification of income with their application.
To establish income eligibility, individuals receiving SS, SSI, SSDI, or other income sources such as Workers’ Compensation, Veterans’ Assistance, or pensions must provide documentation. Acceptable forms include a current award letter, a copy of a recent monthly check, or a monthly bank statement.
Income for the previous 30 days must be verified when The Denture Project applicants have earned income. Check stubs, employer statements, or monthly bank statements will be accepted as income verification.
ASSETS:
There is no asset testing for The Denture Project.
AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS:
The Denture Project is not an entitlement. Funding for The Denture Project is limited, applications will be considered based on availability of funds.
SERVICES COVERED:
Full and partial dentures. Individuals must be denture or partial ready - all dental treatment must be completed and the mouth has healed for at least 6 weeks. The Denture Project does not offer assistance for treatment required prior to receiving dentures or partials.
