The Pre-Employment Project provides dental and vision services for eligible individuals who are receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits from the Department of Human Services, Bureau for Family Assistance. Throughout West Virginia there is a vast network of dental and vision providers who participate in the Pre-Employment Project.
Dental Services Include:
- Routine Exams
- Cleanings
- Fillings
- Extractions
- Dentures / Partials
- Root Canals
Vision Services Include:
- Routine eye exam
- Glasses, if needed
All Pre-Employment Project services are provided to support the transition of eligible adults from welfare to work. Eligible adults can receive a lifetime maximum benefit through this project for dental services (currently $5,000).
The Pre-Employment Project does not cover orthodontics.
