Policy dialogues are critical for developing responsive, effective, sustainable, evidence-informed policy and procedures. The West Virginia WIC Program has a Vendor Advisory Board to evaluate Vendor Management policies and procedures. By engaging vendors, eliciting feedback, and refining policy directions, we will develop a foundation to establish the vision and framework for improving not only the WIC customer shopping experience, but the business case for WIC vendor operations.
An annual Vendor Advisory Board meeting rotates location throughout the state. It is our goal to have a good sampling of representatives from each vendor peer group to inform our strategy and operations. The next meeting is March 20, 2019 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

The WIC'r Basket Newsletter is published quarterly to: 1) follow-up on inquiries, 2) establish positive, ongoing communication with WIC vendors, 3) stimulate in-store training opportunities, and 4) provide updates and news.
