DHHR Announces Relocation of the Harrison County Office

West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR), Bureau for Children and Families Commissioner Nancy Exline today announced that the Harrison County DHHR office will relocate to the new State Office Building in Clarksburg. The Harrison County DHHR office will be closed for one day on Friday, August 12, 2016 to allow for the transition.  The new office, located at 153 W. Main Street, will open on Monday, August 15, 2016.

“We look forward to delivering the same important services in this new setting, which will feature advanced security to protect customers and employees,” said Exline. “The additional space also will provide an opportunity for in-house worker training and enhanced customer privacy.”

Services offered by the Harrison County DHHR office include Economic Services (SNAP benefits, Medicaid), WV Works, Child and Adult Protective Services, Child Support and Day Care. 

During the August 12, 2016 office closure, West Virginians who need assistance can:
   • Report an incident of Adult or Child Abuse by calling Centralized Intake at 1-800-352-6513.
   • Apply for benefits online at www.wvinroads.org.   
   • Contact the Customer Service Center at 1-877-716-1212 regarding a change in a SNAP, Medicaid or a WV Works case.

In urgent matters, paper applications will be available at the former office, and, if necessary, customers may be referred to the nearest DHHR office. 

The Harrison County DHHR hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays.
