​​​The West Virginia Department of Human Services' Office of Drug Control Policy reviews nomination forms and recognizes groups/individuals at various points of the year. Awards will be presented at the West Virginia Appalachian Addiction and Prescription Drug Abuse Conference or the West Virginia Recovery Housing Conference at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Charleston, West Virginia. Nominations will close at the end of business on August 2, 2024. 


WV Award for Excellence in Addiction Counseling and Service*
This award recognizes a therapist, counselor, or social worker who has made an unequivocal impact on the field of addiction care through their work.

WV Community Organization Award for Excellence in Commitment to Addiction Care*
This award recognizes a community based organization that prioritizes collaboration and is working across all aspects of the continuum of care, including prevention, early intervention, treatment, recovery, and recovery support, to push the envelope in expanding access to quality addiction care in their communities.
