The West Virginia Office of Drug Control Policy reviews nomination forms and recognize groups/individuals at the West Virginia Appalachian Addiction and Prescription Drug Abuse Conference in Morgantown, WV. ​

WV Community Organization Award for Excellence in Commitment to Addiction Care: 
This award recognizes a community based organization that prioritizes collaboration and is working across all aspects of the continuum of care, including prevention, early intervention, treatment, recovery, and recovery support, to push the envelope in expanding access to quality addiction care in their communities. 

2022 Recipient: West Virginia Sober Living from Charleston and Morgantown, WV

WV Quick Response Team Exemplary Program of the Year Award: 
 This award recognizes a Quick Response Team that has made significant impacts in their field and made significant contributions to their local communities.

2022 Recipient: Boone County Quick Response Team from Boone County

WV Award for Excellence in Addiction ​counseling​ and Service: CThis award recognizes a therapist, counselor, or social worker who has made an unequivocal impact on the field of addiction care through their work. 

2022 Recipient: Katie Chiasson-Downs, MA, LPC, ALPS, AADC from Morgantown, WV

WV Medical Provider Award for Advancement of Quality Addiction Care: 
This award recognizes a health care provider who has shown unwavering dedication to the advancement of addiction care in their health system and for their patients. 

2022 Recipient: James Berry, DO from Morganton, WV

WV Impact Award for Commitment to Advancing the Field of Addiction Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery: Dr. Lindsay Acree from Charleston, WV
 This award recognizes an individual who has made an unparalleled impact on the field of addiction through excellence in leadership across the care continuum.
