Board of Review complaints
The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, Office of the Inspector General, Board of Review (BOR) provides a fair, impartial, and expeditious hearing process to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources' customers and providers who feel they have been unfairly impacted by DHHR programs. Civil Rights Discrimination complaints
Clients or customers of the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources who feel they have been subject to illegal discrimination or harassment due to their membership in a protected class (race, color, national origin, sex, religious creed, disability, age, political beliefs, reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by the USDA) have the right to file a formal Civil Rights Complaint. West Virginia Foster Care Ombudsman 304-558-1117
The West Virginia Foster Care Ombudsman advocates for the rights of foster children and foster/kinship parents by investigating and resolving complaints regarding managed care services, public agencies and social services. The Foster Care Ombudsman also monitors the development of regulations, polices and procedures related to the foster care system.
