W.V. Child Care Serious Occurrences, Deaths & Substantiated Abuse/Neglect Report
The Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG) Act of 2014 requires states to make available by electronic means, easily accessible provider-specific information regarding the number of deaths, serious injuries and substantiated abuse and neglect incidents that occur in childcare settings each year. The WV DHHR Bureau for Family Assistance, Division of Early Care and Education will make this information available to parents and other stakeholders on a monthly and annual basis.

WV Child Care Statewide Child Care Emergency Plan
The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, Bureau for Family Assistance Children and Families, Division of Early Care and Education Statewide Child Care Emergency Plan is designed to assist state-level leaders, childcare providers, and emergency management personnel in handling phases of emergency management during a man-made or natural disaster. A key component of the Child Care Development Block Grant Act of 2014 reauthorization requires participating states to develop and disseminate a Statewide Child Care Emergency Plan.
2021 Child Care Needs Assessment
The results of the 2021 Child Care Needs Assessment are now available. This report contains the public input into plans for the American Rescue Plan childcare funding.
