Innovative Approaches for Recruiting, Retaining, and Fostering Resilience in Your Workforce

This training will explore of key strategies regarding improving the hiring process, retention, and resilience of behavioral health organizations. During this webinar, we will discuss core concepts, engagement strategies, and examples of innovative and equitable approaches to addressing workforce recruitment and retention challenges. Specific techniques for leadership to develop an understanding and attunement to increasing the diversity of an organization’s workforce, attracting quality team members, and decreasing compassion fatigue will also be provided. Objectives: • Learn innovative approaches to the hiring process with an eye for attracting diverse and quality team members. • Understand core concepts and engagement strategies; and, • Identify specific skills and techniques necessary to promote retention and resilience in the workforce. This training is cosponsored by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources Bureau for Behavioral Health, Marshall University Social Work Department, Marshall University Psychology Department, Marshall University Counseling Program, and the Marshall University Center of Excellence for Recovery.
