Integrated Care Resilience in a COVID-19 World

Understanding trauma and its impact is the first step to beginning to foster resilience through this crisis. Building resilience in team-based care, and regulating yourself and others, is key to adapting to the challenges ahead. Exploring the impact of the pandemic on youth with mental illness and substance use, the impact of the pandemic on rural populations and how to find opportunity in crisis. Learn how to seize this opportunity to create a culture of compassionate resilience. Participants will be able to: • Explore the impact of the pandemic on different populations • Define the steps needed to create a resilient population during chaos • Recognize how a culture of compassionate resilience will create opportunities for thriving during crisis. This training is cosponsored by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources Bureau for Behavioral Health, Marshall University Social Work Department, Marshall University Psychology Department, Marshall University Counseling Program, and the Marshall University Center of Excellence for Recovery.
