BBHHF or BBH?
Effective July 2018, the Bureau for Behavioral Health and Health Facilities was split into two separate and distinct entities under the umbrella of the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. The Office of Health Facilities (OHF) is responsible for oversight of the seven state-owned and operated hospitals with long-term or acute care psychiatric functions for adults, while BBH is responsible for the statewide administration of community-based behavioral health services.

DUI Safety and Treatment Program

During the regular 2019 legislative session Senate Bill 90 passed and was signed into law moving administration and oversight of the state DUI Safety and Treatment program from DHHR back to the Division of Motor Vehicles, effective June 7, 2019.
