We hope you are enjoying this website and gaining lots of helpful information from it. We will also be offering a wonderful opportunity for preparedness learning and networking in May. Our annual West Virginia Public Health & Medical Preparedness Conference is being held May 21-23 at the Holiday Inn & Suites in South Charleston. We have registration available on the WV TRAIN system. We invite and encourage you to register and attend. Our theme is focused on coalition building, and we have other exciting topics and speakers scheduled as well. Some of the topics include ICS for LHDs, crisis communication, and panel discussions to share lessons learned. We have tried to include topics that would be beneficial to both our public health and healthcare partners. We look forward to seeing you there!

And finally, another preparedness learning opportunity has been created. There is now a basic and advanced Threat Preparedness 101 training course available on WV TRAIN. We encourage all who have a need for a better understanding of the discipline to access these courses. A link to WV TRAIN is located here: https://wv.train.org
