"** An MOCC inmate who died while receiving hospice care for stage 4 metastatic cancer was tested for COVID-19 shortly before his death and was found to be positive. The treating medical provider determined COVID-19 was not a contributing factor. As the test result was received post-mortem, the positive is not included in the above figures."

"Inmates are adults in prisons, jails and work-release facilities. Residents are youths in Juvenile Services facilities. The figures for HCC and MOCC include their satellite work camps.  
All inmates are tested upon discharge of their sentences or when granted parole. All necessary notifications are provided when inmates subject to release test positive. These cases are not reflected in the above tally."								
"Employee figures reflect testing conducted by DCR's medical services providers, and any offsite testing reported to DCR. These figures also include DCR employees not assigned to a facility, such as parole officers."
